Funny Girls!

Nothing spectacular is happening this week, other than my brother's thirtieth Birthday - (Happy Birthday Little Bro'), but our girls have been pretty funny. I guess it's the age, but if not, we truly have two very funny people in our house and they are both small and girlish. :)

Earlier in the day we were driving around running errands and a car cut us off. I of course, in my infinite wisdom, decided to tell this other driver just exactly what I thought of him (using no four letter words, I am proud to say.) From the back seat I hear: "Silly Mommy, Cars don't talk."

Then, while fixing dinner for the girls, I was asking Mia which was her favorite vegetable. Her response? Jelly Beans!

Here's a silly video of Laney getting me to play fetch.

And, here's Mia singing Happy Birthday to Uncle Neil.

A Few Days Away...

Well we just got back from Raleigh visiting Marme and Grandaddy, and giving me a few days to just rest and read Harry Potter.

Mia enjoyed talking to Jacque one afternoon on the phone...

The girls both LOVED playing (read, banging on) the piano.

Last week, we went to the Montgomery County Agricultural Fair with a friend from our new preschool, and enjoyed the Merry Go Round, seeing all the Animals, the tractors, and especially eating the ice cream that the cows made for us.

And, lastly, the design of the kitchen is complete, I think!! After rounds and rounds of design changes, I think we have actually settled on one that we BOTH really like! How amazing. We won't be able to start construction until after Christmas, which wasn't exactly in my plan, but those things happen. In the meantime I guess we can redo our driveway and get the rest of the fence replaced. Maybe we can tear down some of the old walls upstairs and start putting up drywall, too.

Beach Weekend!!

The whole family just returned from a long weekend in Virginia Beach with the Michl's. We spent more time in the pool than at the beach, due to nap times and the hot hot weather, but it was fun nonetheless. Here are some photos of the trip.

Mia tries out the turtle we got for Laney...

Mia and I check out the sun tent. Check out those curls!!!

Mia's first experience with waves. She ran away from them, and came back asking to do it again and again.

Laney just got to watch this time. The tide was coming in, we didn't have our suits on, and it was REALLY crowded

Cerissa and Baby Sabrina. Kyle managed to hide from our camera all weekend
